Storyban: Read & Write Stories

Storyban is a platform for digital books, stories, and poems - become an author yourself and publish your works or enjoy the texts of others as a reader.

Write.
As soon as you have a good idea, you can create a draft. This is initially only visible to you, so you can work on your piece in peace until you are satisfied. You are completely free in terms of content - whether you like to write fanfictions, crime stories, action or fantasy, romance, or poetry, Storyban is the right place for you.

Publish.
Once you have completed your text, you can publish it and thus make it available to a wider audience. Your subscribers will be immediately informed about the publication.

Read.
Now your story can be read by everyone on Storyban. Additionally, you will now receive feedback from other authors in the form of likes, favorites, and comments.

A Social Network where the name says it all.
On Storyban, many opportunities for interaction between users have been deliberately built-in. You can send a personal message to other members, form a group chat, or engage in public discussions in the forum.

What you need. Without what you don't need.
To be creative, you don't need much. And some things you don't need at all. For example, annoying advertisements that interrupt your reading flow and make you forget where you were with your thoughts. For this reason, Storyban is 100% ad-free and focuses on the essentials without a lot of frills.

Something for everyone.
On Storyban, all texts are sorted into three categories: single stories, multi-stories, and poems. Single stories are written by exactly one author and can only be edited or continued by this author. Multi-stories, on the other hand, are written by several authors and are thus a collaborative work. Poems are usually much shorter than regular stories and are therefore treated specially.

Together more than a community.
Online, a rough tone is unfortunately often more the rule than the exception. Storyban consciously counteracts this development by actively promoting respectful interaction. Discrimination or insults are immediately nipped in the bud, and the respective users are permanently banned if they show no insight or do not improve.

Device-independent synchronization.
For PCs/Macs, laptops, and larger tablets, there is a web version of Storyban at https://storyban.de. For mobile phones, there is this app. But no matter which device you use: Your data is always up to date, as it is always synchronized between all your devices.

Privately and independently developed.
Storyban was developed entirely privately in the developer's free time. This leads to relatively low development costs and no dependencies on funders or investors. Members can voluntarily donate to cover ongoing costs and thus maintain the operation of the platform.

The fundamental idea behind Storyban is to create a free alternative to existing networks like Wattpad, Sweet, or FanFiktion, but with clear distinctions as mentioned above. If you want to support the platform, you can become a "Supporter" for 5€ per month.
