App Store Description

Have you ever wondered how daily changes in your Crohn’s disease symptoms affect your stress levels or if stress makes your symptoms worse? We want to learn more about the relationship between Crohn’s symptoms and stress through the use of smart devices and mobile apps. We are recruiting people with Crohn's disease who are patients of Mount Sinai Health System or Oxford University for a groundbreaking digital health research study. To be able to join the study and use this app, an invitation is required.

You will download this study companion app where you will be fully informed of study details and sign a consent form agreeing to participate. This app will serve as a hub for study participation. Using this app, you can track your study progress, complete surveys and tasks, and connect devices and other mobile apps. We expect that using the app for the study will take about 5 minutes daily. Participation in the study will last 6-12 months, depending on when you enroll.

Please note that some study tasks, such as the Walk Test, will access Health data (like the steps you take) from your iPhone.

Stress in Crohn's is being conducted by a collaborative team including the non-profit 4YouandMe and researchers from Mount Sinai Health System and Oxford University. This study has been reviewed and approved by an Institutional Review Board of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, in accordance with Mount Sinai’s Federal Wide Assurances to the Department of Health and Human Services.
