Strings is a platform that facilitates face-to-face services between consumers and providers. To ensure trust, safety, and authenticity, it is important that the person a consumer books is the same individual described in the service listing.
Gender:
Many services on Strings (e.g., coaching, companionship, wellness activities) are offered with specific gender preferences. Displaying the correct gender ensures that the provider a consumer meets matches what was presented in the service offering. This avoids misrepresentation and helps consumers feel comfortable and secure.
However a user can use "OTHER" as a gender in case she/he doesnt want to share the details.
Date of Birth (Age Verification):
The date of birth is used to calculate age. Age verification is necessary because:
Some services are age-sensitive (e.g., youth coaching, senior companionship).
Consumers expect providers to be of the age group described in the offering.
It ensures compliance with safety standards and helps prevent underage misuse of the platform.


Strings Social app, does not provide or sell any digital content, subscriptions, or in-app digital services. All services on Strings are based on real-world, face-to-face interactions between consumers and providers (for example: coaching sessions, companions for activities, helpers, hosts, etc.).
The platform facilitates discovery, booking, and safe in-person meetings. Payments processed through the app are strictly for these physical services and in-person experiences. No digital media, downloadable content, or subscription products are offered within the app.
Therefore, the App Store’s in-app purchase requirement for digital goods and services does not apply, since our app only enables booking and payment for offline services.

Account Deletion: Home Page > User Profile (three lines on top right) -> Delete Account
You would get a warning message before deleting the account -> additionally you would be asked to verify your DOB, just to ensure you dont delete it accidentally.

Why location is essential
- Nearby discovery: We only show services within a provider’s serviceable radius of your current location.
- Eligibility & booking guardrails: Even if you can see a provider, you can’t book if you’re outside their radius.
- Meetup safety & logistics: Picks an accurate meeting point, validates distance, and helps both sides reach the right spot.
- Quality recommendations: Ranks and filters results by proximity so feeds aren’t noisy or misleading.
