What is it about?
Surface Tension is an application that calculates the Weber number.
App Store Description
Surface Tension is an application that calculates the Weber number.
The Weber number is a dimensionless number in fluid mechanics. It is used to analyze fluid motion when there is an interface between different fluids, especially when the curvature of the interface in the multiphase flow is large.
Its calculation formula is: w = pv2l / σ
Where ρ is the fluid density (Kg / m3), v is the characteristic flow velocity (m / s), l is the characteristic length (m), and σ is the surface tension coefficient (N / m) of the fluid.
The Weber number represents the ratio of the inertial force to the surface tension effect. The smaller the Weber number, the more important the surface tension, such as capillary phenomena, soap bubbles, surface tension waves and other small scale problems. In general, for large-scale problems, the Weber number is much larger than 1.0, and the effect of surface tension is negligible.
This application implements the Weber number calculation formula, and you can fill in the corresponding data to get the final result.
