App Store Description

Buy and sell sustainable-certified products worldwide in the Sustainable Marketplace. Products are certified by the World Sustainability Organization (WSO), the industry-independent NGO certifying sustainable food production.
This app enables you to access the Sustainable Marketplace. Choose if you are interested in seeing or launching bids for products certified as sustainable by Friend of the Earth (FOE) and Friend of the Sea (FOS). FOE and FOS cover sustainable agriculture and seafood, respectively. The WSO, which publishes this app and operates the marketplace, oversees the world’s leading sustainability certification programs for food production.
The Sustainable Marketplace app allows businesses with FOE and FOS certifications to buy and sell certified products globally. The app and marketplace are intended to reward companies that make the commitment to sustainable practices. As consumers increasingly express a preference for environmentally conscious brands, this app and marketplace can help serve demand and stimulate mutual success amongst our member companies.
The marketplace is free to join. The app is free to download. Over 1,000 customers and suppliers that are part of the FOE and FOS certification programs are eligible to participate. They can post products for sale along with requests to buy. The bidder and requester are anonymous at the initial stage of the transaction. For example, an FOS-certified seafood producer might offer 20 tons of Atlantic Mackerel for sale and accept bids for this sale. Or, a company might request a certain monthly tonnage of FOE-certified tomato sauce or Italian wine and consider offers it receives on the marketplace.
