SwapMyMood is designed to assist people with traumatic brain injury in using evidence-based methods to maximize independence and effectiveness of problem-solving and emotion regulation. This app guides the user through the multiple steps involved in the intervention. SwapMyMood also provides the option to save effective, personalized interventions to refer to in future situations will also function as a method of providing the user with feedback about actions that have previously been successful in helping them with problem-solving and emotion regulation.

SwapMyMood is an electronic mobile version of evidence-based tools that were previously only available in paper format. The contents of this app are based on the Short-Term Executive Plus Intervention for Executive Dysfunction developed at the Brain Injury Research Center of Mount Sinai and funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (grant no.1R49CE001171-01).

Development of this application was supported by the Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center for Community Living, Health and Function (LiveWell RERC) funded by a grant from the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR) in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services under (grant no. 90RE5023.)
