Switchboard

Many workplaces such as hospitals still rely heavily on bleep/pagers, telephone extensions and fax machines. Switchboard helps you get the number you need quickly.

The principle behind Switchboard is to put you in control over your numbers and other useful bits of information needed to get you through your day.
Keeping your work contact details in a separate app means that you don't clutter your personal address book and when you move jobs, you can clear them in one action. Being personal to you, Switchboard avoids concerns such colleagues' mobile numbers being synced to the cloud.

Switchboard supports three views of the data which area all indexed by the search feature:
- Directory : contains all entries in alphabetical order
- On call : a place to lookup on call numbers at the tip of your fingers.
- My list : Store your team's bleeps and mobile phones numbers without polluting your iPhone address book.

Features
- Multiple sites (ideal for locums)
- Each entry can have any number associated bleep, extension, fax, email and mobile phone number, all of which can be labeled to avoid ambiguity (e.g if a there is a different number during working hours and out of hours)
- Add general notes to entries, e.g login details for TOXBASE or other systems that need from time to time
- Phone extensions and mobile phone number can be called from the app or if you prefer send a text message or email
- Call any extension just by typing the number into the search bar
- Reverse look up an extension - perfect for checking who bleeped you.
