The Office of the Niepodległa Program in cooperation with the Royal Łazienki Museum invites you to discover art while enjoying a walk in the Gardens. When strolling down the winding lanes of the most beautiful gardens in Warsaw, you will have a chance to find large-format reproductions of portraits from the Museum's collection.

During the 30-year reign (1764-1795), Stanisław August collected paintings, sculptures, prints, and European numismatics and Polish artists. A work of art in the architecture of Łazienki Królewskie created a work, with time - according to the royal idea from 1792 - it became the first public museum. Stanisław August did not treat fine arts as a beautiful decoration of his residence. Painting, sculpture, and architecture were part of a political agenda. Fine arts are "to shape the spiritual culture of the nation," and thus do the same.
