App Store Description
This app is designed as an implementation tool for disaster relief for NGOs that are helping to install water filters to bring clean, filtered water to victims of earthquakes and other natural disasters.
The app uses a smartphone to gather geo positioning information relating to the installation of a specific filter and creates a waterproof QR barcode. This durable barcode contains the name of the installer, the time of installation, and the location of the installation. Once applied to the filter or apparatus, the app allows the installer, or a later inspector, to scan the barcode and supply information about the installation -- including a photograph. This information is then queued to an email outbox for transmission as soon as the installer/reviewer is back on network.
The app is specifically designed to work with a battery powered, bluetooth-enabled Epson LW-600P 1-inch label printer. While designed for work with the non-profit efforts of the NGO, Tears2Water.org, this app may be used by others who desire portability of labeling and simple record keeping within rugged environments.
