Tablet Talk: A dialogue tool

Tablet Talk is a dialogue tool for conversations with children and youth aged 6-13 years. By means of interactive animations and illustrations, children are helped to express themselves – even when it's hard to put things into words.

You can choose which topics you want to discuss and the order in which to address them, and there are no "right" or "wrong" answers.

Tablet Talk is developed for and with professionals who engage frequently in challenging conversations with children. Experience has proved that this tool, where both the child and the adult are active participants, can lower the threshold for conversation, and feel less confrontational.

VISUAL EXPRESSIONS
- Interactive animations from everyday situations. For example, the topics "adults," "other children," "school," and "sleep" use a slider to change facial expressions, moods, and distance between people.

MAKE THE CONVERSATION PERSONAL
- Both child and adult participate by entering their names, choosing avatars, and a house when starting a new conversation.

INTRODUCTION VIDEO
- All conversations start with an introduction video where you see the adult thinking about the child and then goes for a visit to see how the child is doing.
- The start-up video and the choice of house help connect the conversation to the child's everyday life.

PICTURES AND GALLERY
- During conversation, you can take pictures to remember what you discussed.
- At the end of the conversation, you can look through the pictures and summarize what you have talked about.
- In the image gallery, you can also delete individual pictures. This gives the child the freedom to adjust and correct what they have said.
- All pictures are deleted automatically when the conversation is over.
