Our Story of Building a Great Taco Shop:

Tacos A Go Go opened its first location back in 2006 on Houston’s Main Street, next to the iconic Continental Club. From day one, we’ve worked to blend the vibrant energy of Mexican street culture with the rockabilly vibe of Houston’s funkiest block. What started as a small, quirky taco shop and quickly got a big reputation, allowing us to expand to other locations around our great city.

At the heart of it all is Maribel Gomez, the Head Honcha behind our food. Born and raised in Hidalgo, Mexico, Maribel started cooking at the age of six (!) making meals for her big family. She learned the art of mixing Mexican spices, peppers, and fresh ingredients from her father, who passed down generations of knowledge rooted in the bustling mercados and taquerías of Hidalgo. For nearly 20 years now, her passion and skill have defined everything we do.

So, whether you’re starting your day right with our award-winning breakfast tacos, grabbing quesadillas on the go, or simply enjoying a frozen margarita surrounded by good vibes, we’re here to make your day a little brighter—and a whole lot tastier.
