Back when VCRs were hi-tech and valleytalk was in, first generation of internet adventurers were on their quest to discover new world of information. Their search was furtive and excrutiatingly slow and most of the time dangerous. Not everything they came across were lols and luls. They had to fight annoying pop up windows, oversized ad banners, viruses and misconfigured firewalls, had to survive hissing and screeching noise of dial up modem and bad, bad graphics. But nothing could stop them.
