This is a site specific application that will only work at Temple Newsam House in Leeds. Using Augmented reality to explore the lives of the people who were pivotal to past.

Temple Newsam house has a fascinating history, and one which contains turbulence, twists and turns. the site of this interactive application, the long gallery at Temple Newsam has not be immune from this Turbulence and has undergone many transformations and Alterations.

The well-ordered and serene appearance of the Long gallery disguises the tumultuous social and political events that have led to a repeated neglect and revivification of this space.

This experience seeks to bring to life these historical and social events through the choices of those whom played pivotal roles in this history.

In the initial story you will act as Sir Henry Ingram, a politician, business man and 16th century wide boy who purchased Temple Newsam in 1622 for £12000 and undertook substantial rebuilding, including the long gallery in which you currently stand.

in order to raise the money you need for this purchase and the renovation you will need to navigate the dangerous world of Stewart business. ensuring you stay on the right side of the king and the court, whilst not falling foul of the law or worse, losing all your money to bad investments.

you will need to choose your path carefully, to balance these great powers, raise the money you need and to do so without losing your head.

In the second story you are transported 100 year into the future and must guide Sir Henry Ingram, 7th viscount through the refurbishment of the picture, gallery. This will not be easy as you are in a perilous financial position following your late brother bad investments in the south sea company.

You must balance the need to run your household, pay your creditors and work men and maintain your investments and your reputation, including the demonstration of your loyalty to the crown.

Only by making good choices will you be able to achieve your aims, maintain the families position and cement your legacy, the rejuvenation of Temple Newsam.
