App Store Description
TempSafety provides an alarm notification when the official temperature, via the Bureau of Meteorology (BoM), exceeds a safety limit that is set by you, the user.
The App does this by taking a position (either fixed from your phones GPS, or manually using the map), from which it then automatically receives temperature data from the nearest BoM weather station.
If the temperature at that BoM station reaches or exceeds the safety limit you have set, the alarm goes off and you know it is time to consider your health and safety in relation to heat stress.
It's that easy.
Applications may include:
- Labours working outside and managing the risks associated with heat stress
- Getting an alert to check on livestock or pets during hot days
- Being aware of high temperatures and applying additional water to crops and gardens
- Managing goods sensitive to the heat such as food, plants and chemicals
