App Store Description

The Alan Peat Pocket Punctuation App.

The Alan Peat Pocket Punctuation App is the definitive guide to punctuation. It includes precise definitions of each punctuation mark and fun-to-learn activities for class or home use.
The definitions can easily be shown on interactive whiteboards or devices being used by pupils/adults. The engaging 'Teaching Activities' can be accessed with a single click.

Alan's last app, 'The Alan Peat Pocket App of Exciting Sentences' went to Number One in the UK Education Charts for both iPad and iPhone - feedback indicated that the interactive nature of the app was a key feature you liked. We have included the same interactive elements in this app: note- taking and lesson planning features for each punctuation mark! Notes and lesson plans can even be saved 'in app'.

Additionally we have linked the note taking / lesson planning section with Dropbox and email so that lesson plans and notes can be shared among staff. This collaborative planning feature was a key aspect of the app's design.

We have also included a 'Punctuation face' which uses associative hooks to help pupils remember each punctuation face. Just click on the relevant part of the face and the punctuation definition appears. Tap on the eyes and the exclamation mark definition appears; tap on the cheek and the colon definition appears etc.

With a huge amount of content and a plethora of teaching ideas, we hope you'll make this your 'go-to' app for punctuation.
