The BarTab

BarTab is an IOS application that is focusing on making the experience at clubs and venues less stressful for the patrons and staff.
Unlike other mobile applications in the field of food and beverage, we created BarTab to focus on the problems at hand while still keeping the intimacy of server patron relationships.
The way it works is: when a BarTab user walks into a venue using the application, they will have the ability to automatically open a tab on the venue’s POS. We are already compatible with the top 10 POS systems and have the ability to sync with many more. The process works by using proximity beacons. These beacons create a radius that allows the app to recognize when a user has stepped in or leaves a club or venue. So while the patron is inside of a venue’s radius they are able to continue ordering with their server/ bartender like normal and once they leave that radius it closes automatically and pays the bill. (Gratuity and bill closing options are up to venues discretions and can be changed and altered by venues wants and needs)
This will streamline paying a bill, allowing more drinks to be served as well as getting rid of the “check drop” all together. As I mentioned before we want to keep the intimacy of ordering with a server, so once the tab is open a user can put their phone away, continue ordering with the bar or server and enjoy their experience/outing.
Not only does this allow patrons to enjoy their night without stressing over the bill; splitting it, tipping etc., it also frees up staff to work on other responsibilities and pour more drinks instead of preparing to close tabs at the end of a show and rush the turn around.
BarTab is the only mobile application that is working on making a more enjoyable experience at clubs and venues not only for the patrons, but for the staff and everyone involved!
