The Deaf Connect

Deaf Connect is an app which will help millions of deaf people around the world by being their smart assistant to communicate with the ordinary and other differently-abled people without always being dependent on an interpreter or transcriber in their day to day life.

Today deaf people have to be dependent on interpreters or have to use traditional approach of notepads for communicating with hearing people. Sometimes they even have to use lip reading, which becomes difficult in dark places. Also it is difficult to keep track of who is saying what while communicating in a group of people and later transferring or narrating this information (conversation) to someone else. Or most commonly, what if deaf person and hearing person are going on a drive? There are countless such problems that a deaf person face in his/her day to day life. Also having an interpreter to help at all times is not feasible and also it is very costly.

Deaf Connect is an app to reduce all these overheads by providing amazing features to facilitate smooth communication without any need of physical interpreters or transcribers.

App Features:

1. Text Translations: Type your text message and have read aloud so that hearing person knows what you want to say. Currently supporting 25 languages.

2. Speech Translations: App translates speech into text message so that the message can be read and understood instantly without wasting much time.

3. Phrasebook: Don't waste time in typing typical sentences and phrases at typical places. We got that already typed for you. Just select them from the list and it will be translated and converted to speech. Very soon, you will also be able to add your own sentences into the phrasebook.

4. Transcribe: The app saves your effort and cost on interpreters and transcribers needed while attending class or any kind of conference. Just turn on the recording button and the app will give you word to word transcription (95% precise in silent environments) which you can further use for highlighting and taking your important notes and share them with your peers.
