App Store Description
The Golf Analysis Toolbox (tGAT) is a comprehensive collection of golf tools designed to lower golf scores.
INCLUDED FEATURES IN THE FREE VERSION:
One wedge tests with focus on distance control where you can track essential statistics with a separate statistics page.
One putt test following a putt importance distribution where you can see how you compare against PGA-Tour statistics with a separate statistics page.
Live slope and elevation measurement with the possibility to calibrate the phone.
15 completion drill exercises with comparative difficulty rating.
Two Stimp Rail pages. In the first page you can measure the stimp of the green with a Stimp Rail with adjustments for elevation. The second page gives a visualization for how a putt rolls on a sloped green if launched from a Stimp Rail device. More info about Stimp Rail can be found at https://mhgolf.se/stimp-rail/
ADDITIONAL FEATURES ADDED IN THE SUBSCRIPTION:
For long game:
3d golf ball trajectory program where you can analyse wind effect on ball flight characteristics such as carry, height, curve, decent angle etc for different launch conditions. PGA and LPGA averages are easily imported for ease of use. It is also possible to save your own ball data for different clubs.
Three additional wedge tests with statistics and a wedge practice feature.
For the tGAT green reading system:
Tables with the calculated aim values for stimp 8–13 and speed of 40 cm past back edge.
Tables for wind deflection and a custom input page for wind deflection visualisation.
Simplified tables and extended simplified tables for stimp 8–13 used for the tGAT green reading system.
A practice mode for the simplified tables.
Reading practice with visualization. Both in free-play and a course like green reading test.
Statistics page for the green reading test that tracks progression.
Tables for power difference to hit uphill/downhill putts on stimp 8–13.
A page for green reading terminology and useful estimates.
A feel slope test where you can determine green reading accuracy. Use the test to see whether feeling the slope with your feet is better than visual evaluation or vice versa. With enough data, a green reading accuracy profile from the test shows expected "make rate" on different types of putts with the different reading methods.
A page where you can measure the slope and elevation of a putt at multiple locations and see a visualization for predicted break for drop speed and 40 cm past back edge speed.
A custom green reading page where you can enter slope, elevation, distance and stimp manually. It is also possible to see the Break-diagram for different putts.
For putting:
A feature where you can create and save new completion drill exercises with comparative difficulty rating.
Two more putt tests based on the putt importance distribution with a statistics page.
SUMMARY OF THE tGAT GREEN READING SYSTEM:
First learn a simplified table connected to a specific stimp value through simple memorization. This process is made simple through the practice tables page. From the simplified table you can predict the aim extremely accurately for any distance, slope and elevation combination around that stimp value with basic maths. Then move on by honing in that green reading skill with the practice reading page.
After this, your on-course green reading accuracy is directly linked to your ability to estimate slope accurately. Here you can use the feel slope test and live slope to improve your ability to estimate slope accurately.
A more in-depth walkthrough of the green reading system can be found at mhgolf.se
