*Background: Thanks to the work of researchers at the Monash University of Australia, the term FODMAP was developed. FODMAPs stands for Fermentable Oligosaccharides, Disaccharides, Monosaccharides and Polyols. For some, these compounds cause symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) which can be uncomfortable. Symptoms include bloating, constipation, flatulence, pain and nausea. However, by eating foods which are low in FODMAPs you can avoid these symptoms.

*If there are any foods that you want to be added and that you want to know what its FODMAP amount is, feel free to use the request feature in the app.
