Situated in the heart of the picturesque Leicestershire village of Kirby Muxloe, the Royal Oak is a traditional village inn offering great food & drink and an extremely warm welcome.

It is also more than just a village pub - boasting a bar, restaurant, large garden drinking area and a popular function room. So, if it's a quiet drink, a celebratory meal or somewhere to host a party or function, The Royal Oak is for you. We also now have gift vouchers for any occasion.

Food is served Lunchtimes, Monday to Friday, 11.30 am to 2.00 pm and Evenings, Monday to Friday, 6.30 pm to 10.00 pm, Saturday 12.00 till 2.30 &. 6.00 till 10.00 and Sunday lunch 12.00 noon till 3.00pm and then 6.30 pm to 9.00 pm. We have a range of menu’s to dine from -sandwiches and our takeaway fish and chips are local favorites whilst customers travel from far and wide to sample the delights of our A la Carte menu.

We also now serve breakfast from 10am till 12 noon

For those visitors craving a little history, or a leisurely amble, we are just a two minute walk from the English Heritage owned Kirby Muxloe Castle, The picturesque moated remains - including the fine gatehouse and a complete corner tower - of this brick-built fortified mansion have recently been extensively conserved by English Heritage. Begun in 1480 by Lord Hastings, it was left unfinished after his execution by Richard III in 1483.
