The First Baptist Church of Leominster, Massachusetts, is an independent reformed Baptist church serving our Lord in the heart of New England by conforming our church life, body, and teaching to the revelation of the Scriptures alone. As a local church, we recognize no outside authority other than our Lord Jesus Christ, the head of the universal and local church. We stress the sufficiency and completeness of the Bible as "the only sufficient, certain, and infallible rule of all saving knowledge, faith, and obedience." – The Baptist Confession of Faith in 1689

Since we are a reformed church, it is our desire to be always watchful against the traditions of man which creep into the church, and evaluate our church government against God's revealed design. We will always be reforming to the Word of God. Our sincere desire is to serve God and His people by providing clear and insightful Biblical knowledge in our preaching and works.

The mission of the First Baptist Church of Leominster, Massachusetts, is to glorify the God of the scriptures in promoting His worship, evangelizing sinners, instructing and edifying the saints, planting and strengthening churches, and showing benevolence to the needy. We are committed to the proclamation of God's perfect Law and the glorious Gospel of His grace to all the world, and to the defense of "the faith once delivered unto the saints." The primary means for the accomplishment of this purpose are prayer and the public and private ministry of the Word of God. We acknowledge no ecclesiastical authority other than our Lord Jesus Christ, who is Head of the Church. Recognizing Jesus Christ as our head, we seek to ascertain and obey His will in all matters of faith and practice. We hold that the final authority and responsibility to determine God's will is vested in the gathered membership of the church.

We at First Baptist Church of Leominster, Massachusetts, adopt as the fullest expression of our faith "The Baptist Confession of Faith in 1689". We understand that the ultimate authority in all matters of faith, order, and morals is and must be the Bible alone, as articulated in the opening article of the confession itself. This historic document is, however, an excellent summary of the "things most surely believed among us." We accept it not as an infallible rule or code of faith, but as assistance to us in doctrinal definition, a confirmation in faith, and a means of edification in righteousness. Here, our members have a body of theology in compact form and, by means of scriptural proofs, are ready to give a reason for the hope that is within them.
