The Word Shift: Grammar Chains

Mindfulness and language skills training, which combines two exercise formats: searching for errors in the text and converting words according to set rules. It is suitable for those who want to improve literacy, develop a sense of language and improve their word skills in a playful way. The application contains many levels, each of which offers a unique text or task, making the learning process dynamic and interesting.
The first mode is Find the mistake. The user is provided with a text with pre-defined typos or errors. The task is to read carefully and find all the inaccuracies. Tapping on a word opens a field for entering the correct option. If the answer matches the correct spelling, the word is highlighted in green, if an error is made — in red. This interactive format allows you not only to test yourself, but also to consolidate literacy in practice. There are two modes for complication: a time game (two minutes are allocated for each text, and if the player does not have time, progress is reset) and an unlimited game where you can train at a comfortable rhythm.

The second mode is Word Morph Chains. Here the user is given the source word, and then it is necessary to enter other forms according to a certain rule. For example: sing → sang → sung, happy → happier → happiest, create → creation → creative → creatively. If the answer is correct, the chain continues with a new word, and if an error occurs, the task is reset and you are asked to complete it again. This approach helps not only to train grammar and vocabulary, but also to consolidate understanding of the structure of the language through associations and chains of transformations.

Each level in the app is a new challenge: texts can be different in style, and word chains vary in difficulty. Thanks to this, the player always gets new experience and can gradually hone their skills.
