Third Rail also automatically only shows you the trains or buses near you, tells you exactly where the next bus or train you want is, automatically alerts you of any delays on your subway or bus line, provides directions to help you get to the nearest bus or train stop should you have any trouble, and can send you a notification when it's time to leave to remind you.

Note: The MTA only provides real-time data for the 1,2,3,4,5,6, and L trains, as well as all buses. For all other trains, we use their most up-to-date schedules to find out about when they should be arriving.
