thirdspace: Share experiences

thirdspace, CARLETON’S FIRST SOCIAL APP

Anyone who’s used social media today can attest that it has become more “media” than it is “social.” With the rise of endless content, us students are missing what made us fall in love with it in the first place, and that’s genuine social connection.

thirdspace comes in to change all of that, we’re PUTTING THE “SOCIAL” BACK IN “SOCIAL NETWORK.” This is an app that helps bring students together in real-time, in person to share experiences. No scrolling. No swiping. No content. Just genuine social connection, IN PERSON. And, we’re bringing all this exclusively to Carleton University!

Here’s how it works, you log into the app and it asks you what you want to do; you can type anything, go watch a movie, go to the caf, study in the library etc, and we use machine learning and AI to find someone nearby that we think you’ll vibe with and let them know what you want to do; after they accept, you both then navigate yourselves to each other in person and go share that experience.

WE DON’T WANT YOU ON THE APP FOR LONGER THAN A MINUTE
Contrary to other “social” apps, we don’t want you on our platform for ours. Our job is to find you someone you’ll vibe with to go share an experience, and so we aim to do that as best and as fast as possible.

ONLY OPEN TO CARLETON STUDENTS
As alluded to earlier, thirdspace will only be open to Carleton students. We do this by verifying the Carleton c-mail of all our users.
