Introducing Thirsty Pete - the free, friendly water droplet that lives on your iPhone or iPod Touch. Pete’s a pet, a game and a big idea all in one little drop.

Just like real water, Pete will slide along your screen as you move your phone. Pete’ll wibble when you poke him and he’ll even splatter when you shake your phone too hard.

But Pete needs your help too. Keep Thirsty Pete happy and hydrated throughout the day by feeding him glasses of water. If you forget and he gets dehydrated, Pete’ll get really grumpy and will eventually evaporate!

Pete’s other features include:

- The Water Quiz
To stop Pete evaporating you can earn him glasses of water by visiting the Cloud and taking the Water Quiz.

- Feed Pete
To feed Pete just click the glass icon in the bottom right corner of your screen.

- Wee Checker
Check whether you’re hydrated enough with Pete’s handy Wee colour chart.

- Pete on Repeat
Pete will repeat whatever you tell him.

- Rewards
You’ll also get special rewards for keeping Pete alive as long as possible.

What we drink is as important to our health and well-being as what we eat, and yet this part of our daily diet receives comparatively little attention in nutritional advice. Thirsty Pete has been developed by The Hydration for Health Initiative, which aims to encourage greater awareness of the importance of healthy hydration.
