ThoughtBeam: PsycheScan

An unusual and fun application that disguises itself as a "mind scanner" and turns an ordinary smartphone into a comic tool for entertainment. It is designed so that you can prank your friends, make the company laugh and come up with funny stories. From the very first seconds of use, the app makes it clear that it is exceptionally entertaining, but this is precisely where its special charm lies. In a special disclaimer window, the user immediately sees a notification stating that no smartphone in the world is really capable of reading minds, and that all the results are randomly generated. This adds lightness and humor to the process: you can relax and perceive every "read" message as a joke that will brighten up any conversation.

The main screen of the application works through the camera. It is enough to point the lens at a person, friend, colleague, or even a pet, and after a moment a random "mental" message will appear on the screen. It can pop up as a dialog box right on top of the camera, or the camera will close for a split second, and then give the user a funny thought. This approach allows you to play out situations in different ways and maintain the effect of surprise.

The list of all generated thoughts is saved in a separate tab where you can scroll through them and recall the funniest moments. Additionally, the app sends notifications to remind you of new "thoughts" that can be used for practical jokes. One of the striking features is the ability to take photos: when a thought appears on the screen in the form of a dialog box, you can click the "Take a photo" button. At this point, the app takes a picture with the camera, and the selected message remains on the final frame. This format is ideal for screenshots, social media posts, or just for fun instant messaging.
