Timer Plus - Background Countdown Timer

Ideal for cooking, exercise, yoga, etc. - this powerful, yet easy to use timer features:

+ Four high quality bell sounds: Why put up with silly, irritating sounds when you can use these clear, lovely bells instead?

+ Interval bells: You can create as many interval bells as you'd like to ring during the countdown. For each bell, you may also specify a label that will display on the screen when the bell rings. Use these for steps of a cooking recipe, yoga poses - anything!

+ Presets: You may save a snapshot of the timer configuration as a preset. You may create as many presets as you'd like - assigning each a name of your choosing. Again, great for recipes, exercise routines, etc.

+ Background operation: Start the timer, then run other apps - it's that simple! The interval bells will continue to ring. When the timer is finished the ending bell will repeat every four seconds and a message will pop up on your display. Other "background" timers use local notifications, which are very limited. This app supports FULL background operation (iOS4 on iPhone 3GS or 4 only).

+ Second granularity: Specify the timer length in hours, minutes and seconds.

+ Optional beginning bell: You may configure a bell to ring at the start of the timer (after a configurable delay).
