tinGig: Get Notified

tinGig is a notification framework. It's purpose is to notify you when stuff happens - fast. As soon as something happens, you get a notification on your mobile device.

tinGig started as a tool for app and web developers to get alerts when important events happened on their applications or websites. This feature is called tinGig Snippet Channels.

But now tinGig is expanding to include an ever increasing number of consumer-based channels. This first of these is tinGig Megaphone Channels whereby the channel owner can broadcast notifications to all the channel's subscribers.

Subscribing to tinGig Channels: The underlying idea of tinGig is that you subscribe to channels (whether your own or someone else's) and you then receive notifications whenever there is activity or messages on that channel. Subscribing to a tinGig channel is a simple as scanning its QR code with the tinGig app.

Snippet Channels: Snippet Channels is the core idea behind tinGig. This feature allows users to embed snippets of code into their app, web pages and scripts to generate notifications on a tinGig channel. So far HTML, Javascript, PHP, Python and Ruby snippet templates are available with more coming soon.

Megaphone Channels :A Megaphone channel allows the channel creator to send a stream of notifications to the channel subscribers. To promote your channel, share its Subscription QR Code.

Location channels: Location Channels allow you to notify subscriber of your location. If you feel uneasy about sharing your location, please don't use this feature, particularly because you have very little control over who has access to the Subscription QR Code and who is therefore subscribing to your Location Channel. To share your new Location channel, share its Subscription QR Code.
