MAJOR MILESTONES

Smiling - Most babies will smile by the time they are 6 to 12 weeks old.
Sitting - By about 4 to 7 months, babies will sit independently by themselves.
Crawling - By about 7 to 10 months, babies start to crawl.
Standing - Babies will be able to stand independently from 9 to 12 months old.
Walking - Babies typically take their first steps between 9 and 12 months and are walking well by 14 or 15 months old. Although, it is perfectly normal to walk by 17 months.
Talking - Babies usually start talking in words with meaning anywhere between 9 and 14 months. Though, some can even start as early as 7 months. And some perfectly normal babies won’t start until their 18th month.
