Token Economy is a very powerful tool in accelerating progress for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and attention deficit disorder as well as typically developing children. It can motivate individuals to change their behav-ior and learn important skills in different settings such as special school, general education classroom, home, work envi-ronment and clinical settings.


How is Token Economy App Different from the Traditional Form of Physical Token System?

12 Different Tokens
•You can select tokens with different animal characters, or different target behaviors such as keeping quiet, keeping nice hands, or paying attention.

Number of Tokens
•You can flexibly select 2-10 tokens according to the demand difficulty and functioning level of the student. Black token can be included to target undesirable behaviors.

4 Special Themes
•There are 4 special themes for you to select: Hippo crossing the river; assembling a robot; making a puzzle of owl; and traveling in space.

3 Different Reward Modes
•You can provide 1-3 reinforcement for your student to choose; keep the reinforcement in the surprise box; or lucky draw the reward from the reinforcement menu.

Create Your Individualized Reinforcement Menu
•Take photos or upload pictures of preferred items and activities from your album to create your tailor-made re-inforcement menu. You can keep over 30 reinforcements at a time in the menu!

Competitive Tokens
•2 students can compete for the tokens at the same time to enhance motivation and facilitate social referencing. You can show photos of the students on the competitive token board.

Animations
•Animations and sound effects are specially designed to make the Token Economies more natural, fun and us-er-friendly.

How to use Token Economy?

Tokens are symbols (e.g. coins, points, scores, etc.), which are delivered immediately after a target response and are exchanged later for an item or activity of preference. Like money, you have to cash them in to get your desired items or activities. Effective use of Token Economies requires the following decisions:
1. Which behaviors will be rewarded with tokens?
2. How much of the behavior is required to earn a token?
3. What are the rewards available and how many tokens are required?
4. When will the opportunities for cashing in occur?
5. What will be used for tokens and how and where will the accounting be displayed?
6. Differential reinforcement should be built into the system so that better effort results in better reinforcement.
7. The tokens should be clearly displayed for the student to always see it.
