Trakit - Carrier

The "Trakit - Carrier App" is an iPhone-based solution that allows the "Carrier Representatives" to update in near real time the transit and delivery coordinates of totes earmarked for deliveries across the city to various locations. The app combines the robust crowd-sourced GPS functionality and integration of BLE technology. Depending on environment of use, one or multiple technologies are brought to function in tandem. It fuses the use of ‘smart objects’ (tags, labels, beacons…) to create an interactive supply chain. Thus it offers end-to- end traceability of everything manufactures - all the way from factory floor to any location!

Simple registration process Totes, cases and palettes can tell you where they are and how they got there Send the current location of the tote assigned to the Carrier personnel

It is possible to alert the Factory and Product Owner when a pre-defined event triggers an action Automated update of the location and other shipment details per case assigned to the carrier representative

To enable crowd sourced location update, the other carrier personnel must use the "Trakit - Carrier App" in proximity

Authorization needed to access the GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi of the smart phone

It assists total asset visibility and full inventory history at backend

It reduces lead-time and cross-docking time thus improving sort/pick rate
