App Store Description
Treezilla is a citizen science project developed by The Open University and Forest Research. People across the UK are contributing to a map of trees that will help us all understand more about the benefits that they provide. Download the app and sign up to the project to help map trees in your area. Anyone can participate, whether you are a beginner with trees, or an expert surveyor. And it's free to sign up.
From the app you can download free guides to help you to identify the most common urban trees and survey trees around you to professional standards.
View the map to see whether trees in your area have been mapped, locate particular species you're interested in and update records that are missing data. If your local trees aren't already mapped, get a tape measure, load up the app and start mapping!
As well as helping you understand more about the trees around you, the data in from the map will help researchers find out more about the distribution and diversity of trees across the UK, and better understand the benefits they provide.
