Trojan Advocate is designed to help students with Intellectual Disabilities self advocate for themselves
TrojanAdvocate
What is it about?
Trojan Advocate is designed to help students with Intellectual Disabilities self advocate for themselves. The idea came from a Special Education teacher, Dr. Crandell, that was looking for a tool to help give confidence to students that are sometimes intimated in certain situations. Our students developed an app that uses AI to take prompts that may occur in school or work and the AI will provide a suggestion of what to say. Also, to accommodate people with different needs, we have a Slider that lets you choose prompts with lower vocabulary or higher vocabulary depending on the level you are comfortable with. Also, we provide text to speech for students that are non verbal or possible just shy.
