What is it about?

We have contracted with different independently owned, highly rated, ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Certified full-service auto repair shops in Springfield, Missouri in order to bring the cost of mechanical auto repair and maintenance down for residents of Springfield, MO and the surrounding area. Normal mechanic labor rates average between $80.00 and $100.00 per hour nationally with dealerships charging more. The mechanic shops that we have contracted with have agreed to discount their normal labor rates by a whopping 25% for all Trusted Blue Auto Members (labor only, parts not included). This is a significant saving as labor usually costs more than the part being installed. For example, a head gasket repair averages $1,277 and $1593 (https://repairpal.com/estimator/head-gasket-replacement-cost). The gasket itself usually costs less than $280 (often can be purchased for less than $50 dollars), but the labor to install it averages over $1,000. An engine or transmission repair can easily cost you $2,000-$6,000 or more. We secured the reduced labor rate from the shops by using the power of collective buying. We pool all of our low monthly membership fees together and we give the repair shops a cut in order to persuade them to lower their normal shop rates for our members.
