App Store Description

Tummy Time Fun helps your child build strong muscles so that she or he can crawl and walk. But for many children, Tummy Time is lots of work and no fun. This app will help make it fun!

Position your child on his or her tummy, and this app plays a song or video, but only when your child pushes up from a flat, prone position. This encourages your child to stay longer in Tummy Time because they get a reward for their hard work!

The app is designed to work with a small external sensor that you clip on to the child's shirt. For purchase information, go to this link for the MetaMotionR: https://mbientlab.com/product/clip-stick-sensor-research-kit/

In the meantime, you can try using this app with the built-in sensor just to see how it works. Hold the mobile device in your hand. After hitting the play button, tilt the top edge of the iPhone or iPad up toward the ceiling to start the music or video, and tilt it back down to stop.

The development of this app was supported by the Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center for Community Living, Health and Function (LiveWell RERC) funded by a grant from the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR) in the United States Department of Health and Human Services (grant no. 90RE5023).
