The journal is a bilingual publication in English and German and is distributed internationally, in conformity with current construction events. As the official journal of the STUVA (Studiengesellschaft für Tunnel und Verkehrsanlagen e.V. / Research Association for Tunnels and Transportation Facilities), Cologne, Germany, tunnel is a member of the IVW circulation audit.
