2020 sees the Ribble Valley launch our first, and much anticipated, mobile app, available to download.
U-Treat has been designed to showcase all that the Ribble Valley and surrounding area has to offer, promoting and centralising the many deals and events from our local businesses all in one place. There’s even built-in GPS location services so you can check out the latest lunch or shopping deals when out and about!

The local entrepreneurs behind this saw an opportunity to bring the community together, supporting the local business and tourism trade. There are lots of similar apps in the market but a gap for something local, and let’s face it, the Ribble Valley is bursting with natural beauty, local heritage and thriving businesses which deserve all the exposure they can get.

U-Treat was founded in the local area to help businesses promote their offers and events without having to pay extortionate advertising costs, and to ensure people living in, moving in and visiting the area can have access to everything they need at their fingertips and on the go.

Using the app you can perform searches by category, by business name, by street name, by type of treat (e.g. Burgers or Spa's) or a you can simply use the filter functions.

If you are planning a day/night out or visiting the region and you aren’t sure of the area can find everything you need using the location services of the app, simply by clicking on the map when out and about the app will use networks, GPS and Wi-fi to locate the customer and show them “treats” around them within a chosen distance!
You can again filter the map by what they are looking for, whether that’s an event or afternoon tea!

Those frustrating Nights where you are sitting at home trying to decide what to do or where to go, what to eat or who to watch in a band, will now be a thing of the past as U-Treat offers all those things at the touch of a button.

Over the next few years the app will also grow new features as part of the developers longer term vision.
