Universia Rectors Meeting

Following the previous editions held in Seville (Spain, 2005), Guadalajara (Mexico, 2010) and Rio de Janeiro (Brazil, 2014), Salamanca is now set to become the world capital for higher education on 21 and 22 May 2018, when it will host the 4th Universia International Rectors Meeting under the motto “University, Society and Future”. The event will focus on three hugely important topics: “Training and learning in a digital world”; “Research at universities: a paradigm under scrutiny?” and “The university's contribution to social and territorial development”. All of these share a vision of commitment to the future of universities and of universities serving society.

The 4th Universia International Rectors Meeting 2018 App allows users:

- To access the online discussions and debates to be held during the months leading up to the Meeting.
- To schedule and arrange appointments and meetings in the times and places reserved for networking among the rectors taking part.
- To obtain information on the agenda, schedule, subject matter and speakers due to take part in the event.

Organised by UNIVERSIA and Banco Santander, this prestigious international event, which coincides with the celebrations of the 800th anniversary of the University of Salamanca, will bring together over 700 rectors/vice-chancellors, presidents and academic officers of universities from 26 different countries, with the aim of reflecting on and debating the main challenges facing the university as a means of building a better future between us all and contributing together to society's progress.
