Leave of Absence and Make-up Classes
Absence Reporting: All absences and make-up classes must be scheduled through our website by parents. If you fail to report an absence in advance, the class cannot be made up.
Makeup Class Deadline: Make-up classes should be completed by the end of the semester in which the absence occurs. No makeup classes will be allowed after your registration ends. Refer to your registration form or payment receipt to find the last registered day.
Carrying Over Missed Classes: No missed classes from one term can be carried over to the next term.
Holidays: For school holidays, please refer to the US Arts School Calendar or visit our website. Makeup classes are not required for holiday closures.
Class Cancellation by Parents
Cancellation Process: Parents can cancel their child's class registration at any time.
Cancellation Fees: Each cancellation will incur a $70 cancellation processing fee.
Non-refundable Fees: The $70 registration fee is non-refundable. However, a full refund (minus processing and class fees) will be given if requested. The class fees will be prorated based on the number of classes attended. For example, if you sign up for 38 classes but cancel after 2 classes, the 2 classes will be charged at the short-term (16-class) rate rather than the discounted long-term (38-class) rate.
Absences and School Pickup Fees: There are no refunds for absences, school pickup fees, or the registration fee. Absences can be made up if reported.
Facility Destruction
Behavior Expectations: Any obscene, offensive, or hateful language, as well as any physical harm toward others, is strictly prohibited.
Prohibited Materials: Bringing dangerous or hazardous materials to US Arts is strictly prohibited.
Respect for Property: Students are expected to respect and care for all classroom materials, supplies, and furniture. Parents or guardians will be held financially responsible for any damage caused by their child.
Art Material Usage: Students who intentionally waste or misuse art materials will be required to compensate the school for the materials.
