Don’t spend the first half of class looking for a parking spot – find a spot fast with UofU ParkingMaps!

Spending 20 minutes looking for an open spot? Turns out you could be looking in the wrong places. We found out that at certain times throughout the day, some parking lots are packed and others have plenty of space available. ParkingMaps uses data of past parking lot capacities to tell you which lots are the ones with open spots.

Parking lots tagged with "EMPTY" or "HALF FULL" capacities are lots where you have a very good chance of finding parking. Lots that are "FULL" are most likely packed and your chance of finding parking relies on somebody leaving as you're coming in.

Just like with predicting anything, our parking predictions aren’t always 100% successful. So, we’ve added a feature for you to let us know whether a certain parking lot has more spots or less spots than what is currently listed on the app.

Other Key Features:

Filter parking options by permit types
You can’t park in all parking lots. For the most part, you need a specific permit. To see which lots you can park in, filter the results by your parking permit.

Report seeing a parking compliance car
Do you ever see parking compliance giving out tickets to everyone in the parking lot? In the ParkingMaps app, you can let everyone else know where this is going on and maybe you’ll save some people from getting a ticket. Just place a marker where you saw the compliance car and everyone else using app will see where they are.
