Varstation

VarStation ( https://varstation.com ) is a multi-language, end-to-end cloud-based platform created by the Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein to complete automate the genetic analysis. The platform was created by a team of bioinformatics, biologists and geneticists to fit in different analysis paradigms, supporting germinative panels, exome and somatic panels. With a few clicks the user can upload a file, process and start analyzing the variants to generate a final report.
It was created to be the only needed application to be used through the entire process during the dry genetic analysis. In the platform, it´s possible to start on the mapping process and go through all steps, from FASTQ, BAM, and VCF files of the analysis to generate a final report. VarStation comes with a range of validated pipelines by default. However, the users can create their own pipelines or customize the validated ones to specific needs. The creation and customization is very easy and transparent, so the users have full visibility of each step and parameters, through all the stages, including quality metrics, mapping, variant calling, annotation, and filters.
The platform was created in a way to guarantee a secure analysis and complete traceability in accordance to The College of America Pathologists (CAP) guidelines. It allows labs that use the platform to follow strictly compliance rules, including peer-review features, auditing capabilities and detailed tracking of each analysis in real-time. Any laboratory can do a trustful genetic analysis without the need of a bioinformatics team to process the data.
