vClinician: M&B OUD

The vClinician: M&B OUD (Mother & Baby Dyad with Opioid Use Disorder) app provides clinicians with access to evidence-based information in real time for the care of the mother with opioid use disorder (OUD) and her baby in the post-partum period. The use of the content is designed to promote quality care and care coordination in the nursery and via discharge planning for long-term care. In addition, this app serves as a resource for health care professionals in training to provide evidence-based care for these mothers and their infants.

Clinicians can quickly ask questions via text or voice interfaces and get answers driven by the artificial intelligence “chatbot” that is trained to provide current and relevant information. vClinician can be integrated into clinical care workflow to provide evidence-based practice and clinical training and, by doing so, improve access to care for mothers with OUD and their opioid-exposed infants in under-served settings.
