The VEST app provides subscriber access to services that are paid for by departments where the first responder (“subscriber”) works. The VEST app customizes access by automatically integrating the department's access codes and access numbers. The first time a subscriber uses the app, the subscriber enters a code supplied by the department. The app then enables the subscriber to access text and telephone support and training services. The app provides anonymous access to text and telephone support by stripping out the caller ID information, while supplying the support center with the necessary authentication to identify the subscriber’s department. Subscribers enjoy streamlined employer-customized access to the VEST app.
VEST is an acronym. V is for being Vigilant in planning for, understanding, and approaching the risks and unique stressors of duty. E is a reminder to Engage with the right tools and mindset to successfully face challenges. S is a reminder to Sustain yourself each day and on an ongoing basis. T is to remember to effectively Transition from on-duty and off-duty life to help create and enjoy the prosperity a balanced life can offer. “VEST” helps individuals prosper on and off duty. Too many first responders shoulder their burdens not knowing they can get help from a peer or a counseling professional.
