Visions Radio - Zimbabwean community radio station broadcasting for the four corners of the world.

Visions Radio was set up by a childhood friends and broadcasters Erick Knight and Ezra Sibanda together with their beloved friends. It was formed on the 1st of January 2011 after the outcry of millions of fans across the globe who demanded to hear those unmistakable voices which dominated Zimbabwe's Radio and Television in the 90’s. The main purpose is to correct the exclusion and marginalization of the African communities from the electronic media in the Diaspora and also to serve the interests of the listeners back in Zimbabwe and Africa.

The listeners were frustrated at the lack of a quality programmes from hundreds of mushrooming on-line radio stations which have failed to deliver basic entertainment, information and education. Visions Radio is for the people by people. It is here to deliver excellent service to the listeners with entertaining, engrossing and intelligent conversation between the presenters and the listeners, covering the thoughts and topics that people of all walks of life are really talking about capitulated with good music to satisfy their demand.

The roots of Visions Radio can be traced back to 2003, when Afro Sounds FM a company Visions Radio founders were involved with, pioneered the first on-line radio station by Zimbabweans. The new management team has over 40 years of broadcasting experience between them, the experience which will be used to identify and nature young aspiring broadcasters to get into the industry. Apart from entertaining listeners with an exciting range of music spanning the continent of Africa and beyond, Visions Radio also provides vast range of phone–in programmes discussing issues which are pertinent especially, to Africans at local, national and international level.

Visions Radio will bid for a Broadcasting License in Zimbabwe as soon as Air Waves are upon to continue its service to millions of its listeners in Zimbabwe who don’t have internet. At the moment Visions Radio is awaiting the outcome of its application for a Broadcasting License in UK and will continue broadcasting on-line 24/7 to the global audience.
