App Store Description

The VoteMar app is a specialized place to vote on polls about today’s oh-so-decisive topics. Here are just some of the features available to you through VoteMar:

*Keep abreast of current trends and opinions:*
1) Peruse current polls by tapping the app icon
2) Review and check vote counts for a given poll
3) Search for a specific poll using its poll hashtag, poll id, or some key words present in the poll description
3) Vote (like or dislike) on polls that interest you

*Express your opinions and see whether other people agree with your opinion*
Let's say you have an opinion that Mr. Tintin is a very bad teacher and an unfair grader! You can create a poll and ask your classmates to vote. Your classmates will not know who created the poll; they can vote and be assured that the creator of the poll does not know who voted like or who voted dislike. Every one sees the poll and the total counts of "like" and "dislike", but individual votes are anonymous. Here is what you would do:

a) Create a new poll on VoteMar: “#badteacherTintin I hear he doesn’t even read the essays he grades”
b) Share the poll with your classmates by email or instant messaging using "Share with friends" feature of VoteMar
c) Keep track of vote counts to see if your opinion is shared by others in your class

Here is another example. Let's say some of your friends decided that it's a good idea to go on a picnic. You want to organize the picnic and you want to know how many friends in the whole of your friend group are interested to come to the picnic next weekend.

A quick way to achieve this is:
a) Create a new poll on VoteMar: “#picnicNextWeekend I’d be down for a picnic next Sunday.”
b) Share the poll with your friends via email or instant message using "Share with friends" feature on VoteMar
c) Keep track of vote counts to decide if enough friends are coming to schedule the picnic!
