FonoMix "Learn to read 2"

The app FonoMix "Learn to read 2" ‐ based on literacy learning according to FonoMix Munmetoden, which has strong foundation in current research in language development and reading and has shown very positive results in scientific studies. The method was first published in 2006.

The app teaches the student in a simple and easily comprehensible way with six speech‐sounds and their letters (o s l a r m). The six sounds/mouths link to their letters and the student make/"write" and read 15 words.

Audience: 6‐year‐olds in preschool or at home, and all students, regardless of age, who are in need of a sure way to start to read and write (i.e. special– and adult education).

The app FonoMix "Learn to read 2":

• is entertaining and fun thanks to the many senses activated
• have a structured, multi‐sensory approach
• includes 6 speech‐sounds (o s l a r m) and 6 letters, which means that everyone can succeed to get started reading
• have mouths that show the sounds and make sounds visible and therefore easier to recognize, pronounce, and remember
• consolidates the sounds in memory by name that speaks of how the sound is made in the mouth, for example Tandväsaren (s), used parallel with the sound
• practice the important automation of coupling sound‐letter and letter‐sound
• functionally independent but there are great benefits if the student also can experiment with the FonoMix kit for preschool (F‐klass‐sats)
• is suitable for students with other language background other than Swedish (Sva, Sfi) who want to learn to read from start
