What is it about?

Virtual Traveler's VR Angkor Thom Lite is designed to provide students and armchair travelers a 360-degree immersive tour of the main temples found in the ancient city of Angkor Thom. It is a companion app to Virtual Traveler's VR Angkor Wat series. Beginning at the city's South Gate entrance, this virtual tour explains the architecture and religious symbolism in Bayon, Baphuon, and Phimeankas temples, as well as prominent landmarks such as the Terrace of the Elephants, Terrace of the Leper Kings, the Khleangs and the Prasat Suor Prat. Moving through the ancient ruins scene-by-scene, an audio narration explains the history and religious significance of the structures, supported by embedded photos and maps. The app is "dual view," allowing visitors to take a fullscreen tour on a smartphone or tablet, or a more immersive 360-degree experience by placing the smartphone in a VR headset such as Google Cardboard for a "you-are-there" experience.
