What is it about?

Wat Phra Kaew, located on the grounds of the Grand Palace in Bangkok, is Thailand's most sacred shrine. The Wat is the home of the Emerald Buddha, the palladium or protective image of Thai culture. It is also the final resting place of the royal lineage of the Chakri Dynasty, who rule Thailand to this day.
