Walnut Valley’s eclectic musical offerings include Americana, folk, bluegrass, cowboy, new grass, western swing and Celtic, just to name a few.
This festival is the home of the National Flat Pick Guitar Championship, the International Finger Style Guitar Championship and the National championships for the mandolin, bluegrass banjo, and both mountain and hammer dulcimers. Also included during the festival is the Walnut Valley Fiddle Championship.
This year’s professional performers include Muriel Anderson, Appalachian Road Show, Bryan Bowers Band, Roz Brown & Jim Ratts, The Cowboy Way, Della Mae, Bing Futch, GASS, R.W. Hampton, Hootin’ Annies, J2B2, JigJam, Chris Jones & the Night Drivers, Christie Lenée Trio, Ashley Lewis & Legacy, John McCutcheon, Matchsellers / Bluegrastronauts, Andy May, Tim May & Steve Smith, Old Salt Union, Barry Patton, The Quitters, Short Round String Band, Steve & Ruth Smith, Socks in the Frying Pan, Special Consensus, Still on the Hill, Linda Tilton, and Kyle Tuttle Band.
