App Store Description

Watcher is a basic website monitoring application. It periodically checks websites for any changes in their HTML code. When the HTML changes, you will be notified based on the alert settings for that website. Make sure notifications for this app are enabled to be alerted properly.

Inspiration for Watcher came from repeatedly checking John Gruber’s Daring Fireball for tickets to the live recording of The Talk Show to become available.

Note: At this stage, Watcher only looks for any changes in the raw HTML of a website. For complicated websites like Facebook or Google, the HTML will change very frequently, making Watcher not the best monitoring option. Watcher uses iOS Background Refresh to check websites for changes. This means some notifications may possibly be delayed for up to 30 minutes.
